Washington – In response to reports that the Senate Parliamentarian issued an advisory opinion against including much-needed and long-awaited pathway to citizenship in upcoming legislation, the #WelcomeWithDignity campaign responded:

“Senate leaders must listen to and honor immigrant communities and exercise their power to disregard the parliamentarian’s advisory opinion and deliver on their promise. A pathway to citizenship for our family members, friends, colleagues, and neighbors is long overdue,” said Melina Roche, Campaign Manager of the #WelcomeWithDignity campaign. “Immigrant communities cannot wait any longer. The time for Congress to act is now.”
